DRESS CODE

The NY Dancers Studio is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most professional training available. Establishing a more structured classroom environment will help us to give our dancers the best instruction possible.

In order to better facilitate this goal, The NY Dancers Studio requires a mandatory dress code for all classes .  The dress code will be strictly enforced in every class. Please help us in our efforts by encouraging your children to adhere to the dress code.

The dress code has been developed for several reasons

-First and foremost, proper attire helps set the tone for discipline and dedication among dancers. Even when dancing for fun, we are teaching students that it is important to commit to things, be part of a team, and be serious about anything they belong to.

-Teachers must be able to see lines on dancers, meaning they need to know things like when a leg is bent, arm is straight, or hips aligned to the front in order to provide the best instruction.

-Attire can often be a distraction among young dancers. Having a dress code prevents these distractions.

As always, our goal is to give our dancers the most comprehensive and professional dance instruction possible. We feel very strongly that dress code assists us in that goal.

The dress code for each level & class type is as follows:
